Invoicing you can do by talking to it
The problem
Construction invoicing has rules that trip up generic tools. CIS deductions apply to labour but not materials, VAT can be zero, reduced, standard or a recharge, and every client wants a different breakdown. SKL were spending evenings wrestling with it.
What we built
A bespoke Laravel invoicing app that knows the trade. It handles CIS and VAT correctly by default, produces clean PDFs, and keeps clients, jobs and payments in one place. The part SKL love most is that they can create an invoice by describing the job in plain English.

An assistant that asks the right questions
Rather than a form with thirty fields, the app has a conversation. It asks for the client, whether CIS applies, what the work was and what it cost, then the address and the VAT treatment, and only creates the invoice once it has everything. There is a voice mode for use on site, with spoken responses.
The AI is a convenience layer over ordinary, well-validated business logic. Nothing is invoiced that the rules would not allow.
