Club membership you can buy from your phone
The problem
Membership renewals for a cycling club used to mean bank transfers, reminders and a treasurer reconciling a spreadsheet. New riders who wanted to join after a Thursday ride had no way to do it on the spot.
What we built
An integrated Stripe checkout on the club’s static website. Members pick their membership, pay from their phone, and the club gets a clean record and a notification. No accounts, no logins, no plugin platform to keep updated.
The clever bit
Payments on a site with no server
The Imps site is static, so there is nothing to host or patch. Checkout is handled by a small edge function that creates a Stripe session and confirms the payment, which means the club gets proper online payments with none of the running costs of a full e-commerce platform.
