A garden designer’s name that looks as considered as her gardens
Letting the gardens do the talking
The problem
Hannah Collins designs bespoke gardens across the north of England, from city courtyards in Manchester to large family gardens in Cheshire and Liverpool. Her work is elegant and quietly confident, and the people who hire her are trusting her with a large sum and the view from their kitchen for years to come.
She needed a name and a website that looked as considered as the gardens themselves, so a first impression online would match the one a finished garden makes.
What Lewis designed
Lewis created the visual identity and designed the website. The logotype is built on a typographic system of tall, disciplined letterforms that echo the lines of garden borders, trellises and pergolas: a mark that feels bespoke and high-end, like the gardens it signs.
The website is led by photography. Each garden gets its own page, with the brief in Hannah’s words beside the pictures and the details a future client wants to know: when it was finished, roughly what it cost and who built it.
